Hello Tom,
Because the Control Cabinet is under construction and on the Work Table, that is over 5 meters from the
Hurco Bed Mill and it's Spindle Motor. Closer to 7 to 8 meters of cable in total.
Thus, we are currently using regular 4 Conductor #12 Cable in a 3 phase and Ground condition going ...

Re: Acorn6 CNC12 faulting randomly???
Update:
We are making progress.
1) We shut off the 220VAC Breaker to the VFD for the Spindle but still let the Acorn6 board think that it was
controlling it via the 0-10VDC connection at 4.85 VDC.
The first thing that we noticed is All of the POPUPS on the Centroid All in One Computer suddenly ...

Acorn6 CNC12 faulting randomly???
Ok, we are at a Total Loss as to what is causing this or where to even look.
We have all 6 axis hooked up with 4 working with cables controlling AC Servo motors
from DMM DYN4 Servo Motor Controllers.
We have the Spindle working from the VFD and controlled in CNC12.

Activating 4th, 5th and 6th axis and getting 5th and 6th on Virtual Jog Panel
Hello again,
We are trying to get the 4th Axis working and it is configured as the X,Y and Z Axis's that are
working fine, but we get no signal from the Board to the DMM DYN4 Drive.
Attached is the latest Report, and yes the 5th and 6 axis's are faulting as we do not have the
cables to attach to ...

Encoder feedback
Hello everyone,
We're trying to get our 6 axis system fully running, at the moment we have the 3 main ones running and we'll have the other 3 by EOD.
One main "issue" we encountered is the encoder feedback from the DYN4 drives to the Acorn6 board, specifically ENCODER1, ENCODER2, ENCODER3.

Acorn6 trying to access the Wizzard and it locks up the system? <cnc12 is running a job>
report_0008DC111213-1010220080_2025-07-22_19-04-47.zip Hello,
We have finally gotten the 3 axis's to sort of work.
X and Y fine, with Z we jumper the Enable X axis to the Z axis and it works.
But, we cannot access the Configuration Wizzard?
When we try we get this screen shot and below is the ...

Acorn6 ENC1 cable connection to DMM DYN4 DB9 connection ZRI locations?
Hello Everyone,
We are trying to figure out the where the ZRI+ pin 9 and ZRI- pin 1 on DMM DYN4 DB9 cable
goes to when connecting to the ENC1 DB9 cable connection on the Acorn6 Board.

Re: Acorn 6 after Select Drive Type DYN4, Estop and Magnetic Contactor don't work?
Question for Shawn,
When trying to Run the DMM Dyn4 Test like in the below, should the Dyn4 still be hooked up
to Acorn6 Control?
https://www.dmm-tech.com/Files/DSFEN_A1403_1217_p.pdf
On page 3 of the above Referenced Manual it states that the DB9 Encoder Connector should Not
be Connected to the ...

Re: Acorn 6 after Select Drive Type DYN4, Estop and Magnetic Contactor don't work?
Thanks Shawn,
I changed IN14 from NC to NO on the "Axis1DriveOk" and now
the Dyn4 no longer Faults.
This is an Acorn6 and the Wiring Diagram S15164.r1 shows connecting
the Axis1 to the Input14 as seen in the attachment below. I am only following
what Centroid has provided. If it really should be ...

Re: Acorn 6 after Select Drive Type DYN4, Estop and Magnetic Contactor don't work?
Ok, so we Removed DriveOk from input 5.
1) Then we Tested Axis 1 "X" which is also DMM1 of the Dyn4 Driver and upon powering up
everything the Green LED on DMM1 comes on upon Reset on the VCP.
2) When we try to Move X+ or X- we get an Message 9025 Axis 1 Drive Fault Detected.
Pressing Reset on ...
