These are my settings for the stepper motor on the turret.
Have you set the turret in the wizard as an axis driven turret, and told centroid that it has 8 tools?

I am thinking of retrofitting a VMC milling machine with the Oak board. The motors that i am fitting have incremental differential encoders 2500 lines
Will these be suitable for the Oak board?

How did you control the spindle ? and the axis motors? Did you somehow use the original Anilam inverter? Did you use the original Anilam AC servos?
I am thinking of doing a similar retrofit on a Semco mill by replacing the Anilam 6000M control.

Does your turret have a proximity sensor behind the ratchet mechanism? I have a turret like yours but my turret has a proximity sensor that senses when each lobe has passed the sensor. See Photo. The RTG screen and the g code screen are both showing zero when it has to remove 6mm off the diameter.

sounds like the driver is faulting out and releasing power, check for binding/load on motor when holding position and or force that would cause it to be pushed off the commanded hold position. does the drive have a LED that indicates a fault?
