Negative readout for Z axis in WCS when it should read positive
Hi, i have finally finished the retrofit on my cnc router from Mach3 to Acorn. I ran the first test program (G code created in Vectric -file attached together with report) . The tool library is set up using a TT and using Z home as the reference. After setting the part zeros the program cuts exactly ...

Re: No fault out problem with the relay board
Hi guys, problem solved. I have a Rev 2 Acorn board which has 2 onboard relay outputs. I was assuming using the wizard that all numbered relays would be on the external relay board but that isn't so. Number one and two correspond to the relays on the Acorn board itself. Relays 3-8 correspond to the ...

No fault out problem with the relay board <resolved>
Hi, hopefully just a simple fix but i have a slight problem . I am just finishing off wiring up acorn to replace Mach3 which i used for a number of years but i cannot get the no fault out relay connected to the main contactor to change state when the E stop button is pressed. I have it wired as ...

Correct RPM reading using Acorn
Hi, i am currently retrofitting my CNC Router. I am using an Elte ATC water cooled spindle which outputs two pulses per rev for determining speed. My question is this, the input in the wizard accepts one pulse per rev. Is there any way to connect the Elte sensor to give a true reading in the readout ...

Can Acorn support 2 pulses per Rev. to give an accurate spindle rpm
Hi, just a quickie. My Elte router spindle outputs 2 pulses per rev. for the purpose of reading accurate rpm. Is Acorn capable of accepting 2 pulses per rev or is it a fixed setting at 1 pulse per rev?.
many thanks

Re: Wiring a 19mm 2P 3P rotary switch for the jog multiplier function on the new Acorn USB BOB
Hi guys, thank you for all the input. i'm going to have to think about the next step given the input from people who know more than me. I'm still a little perplexed however as one would assume that as there is a control panel on the Centroid web page where they advertise the USB BOB using this type ...

I think you're right but that still begs the question how does the one shown on the Centroid USB BOB page work cos as far as i can tell you can't get a 3 pole version of that switch.

Re: Wiring a 19mm 2P 3P rotary switch for the jog multiplier function on the new Acorn USB BOB
Hi Tom, thanks for the quick reply. I have searched and searched for a 3 pole version of that switch without success hence my assumption that somehow it had been done with a 2 pole. As i've already cut the 19mm hole and i can't find a 19mm 3 pole rotary i appear to have shot myself in the foot ...

Wiring a 19mm 2P 3P rotary switch for the jog multiplier function on the new Acorn USB BOB
Hi, i recently purchased the new usb bob for a conversion from mach3 to Centroid Acorn on my cnc router. I am building a new control panel (photo attached) and after looking at the Centroid USB BOB page and the control panel shown there i decided to use the same 3 position rotary switch as shown on ...
