Hi, hopefully just a simple fix but i have a slight problem . I am just finishing off wiring up acorn to replace Mach3 which i used for a number of years but i cannot get the no fault out relay connected to the main contactor to change state when the E stop button is pressed. I have it wired as shown in the acorn schematic for the no fault out but the led on the relay board remains red when the E stop is pressed yet the led on the diagnostics screen for that output does change colour when the E stop is pressed as it should.According to the info the relay assigned to "no fault out" should change state when the E stop is pressed but it doesn't. Acorn sees the E stop btw and acknowledges it on screen so i think that bit is fine. Probably something simple i've forgotten to do but i can't see it right now.
Thanks
Charlie

Could you please post a report and some pictures of your wiring?

Re: No fault out problem with the relay board
When the Acorn is working as it should (no errors or faults) the LED on the relay board relay for "no fault out" output should be green and latched. If you press e-stop for whatever reason EVERYTHING stops and the LED for the relay will go red.Chas wrote: ↑Sun Mar 16, 2025 6:58 am Hi, hopefully just a simple fix but i have a slight problem . Please give us a schematic diagram number so we can see which schematic you are referring to. There are too many to guess.
And post a current report.

Re: No fault out problem with the relay board
Hi guys, problem solved. I have a Rev 2 Acorn board which has 2 onboard relay outputs. I was assuming using the wizard that all numbered relays would be on the external relay board but that isn't so. Number one and two correspond to the relays on the Acorn board itself. Relays 3-8 correspond to the relays on the relay board but how you access relays 1 & 2 on the relay board through the wizard i'm still not sure as there are only 8 outputs shown on the wizard. Once i checked all the relays and realised my mistake then rewired the contactor connections to one of the relays on the Acorn board itself everything now works as it should. Be interested to know if relays 1 & 2 on the relay board can be used when using an early acorn board.
Many thanks
Charlie
