Correct RPM reading using Acorn

Post by Chas »

Hi, i am currently retrofitting my CNC Router. I am using an Elte ATC water cooled spindle which outputs two pulses per rev for determining speed. My question is this, the input in the wizard accepts one pulse per rev. Is there any way to connect the Elte sensor to give a true reading in the readout rather than it reading twice the rpm that it's actually doing?.
Many thanks
Charlie

It is only a small mod in the PLC to dived the SpinSensorSpeed_FW by 2

Would doubling or halving the value in the spindle rpm max speed (in the Wizard) not work? Nice 'handle' by the way, thought I had an impersonator.

If you want to display the actual rpm right, no.

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.
