Re: M400/CNC7 to CNC12/Allin1DC

Thanks, I was assuming that the communication was going through the shielded Ethernet cable and the jog panel cable was just switching, but I guess there is more going on in the jog panel than could be handled through those few wires for switching.

I have since realized that all the encoder cables ...

Re: M400/CNC7 to CNC12/Allin1DC

Hello Everyone next question and hopefully an easy one. I have a 5’ Centroid cable that goes from the Allin1DC to the Jog Panel, that won’t be nearly long enough. The Centroid cable is made from West Penn 22 AWG #3653 which is shielded 8 conductor with 4 twisted pairs like encoder cable.

Is there ...

Re: BORING QUESTION

I am not sure of the correct method, but I create a report out of my machine that is all set up and restore that report into Intercom to get the tool libraries and everything the same as the machine. Gary

M400/CNC7 to CNC12/Allin1DC

Hello I am going to upgrade my Millport Rhino IV from my M400/CNC7 with a RYK2/Servo1 3-3T to CNC12with Allin1DC and I have just a couple of questions as I start out and I am sure many more along the way.

1. Can I use my existing wired MPG hand wheel, or do I have to go to the wireless?

2. I have ...

Re: Build Thread- Tree Journeyman 425 to Allin1dc

Sounds like the switch isn’t changing state every time you trip it. Can you trip the switch manually and see what happens? Assuming they are normally closed then there could be chips or something like that in the switch or maybe the machine isn’t contacting the plunger enough. Gary

Re: Build Thread for Bridgeport Torq-Cut 30

Hello, I think you only have to be concerned with shielding for things like your VFD that has high frequency bleed over, communications wires, and things that operate at really low voltage, or send signals in milliamps and that sort of thing.

For sensors and limit switches and other things that ...

Re: PLC Update - New Features

Thanks I understand I probably just need some to do some testing, but at 500ms it seems pretty jerky and you are actually going 0 - 100 even faster at 150ms and 300ms, does that actually have the effect of slowing down or smoothing it some since it’s doubtful it and accelerate and decelerate that ...

Re: PLC Update - New Features

Well I am happy to say that tested the function of both SSV and FRV after moving it over from the factory 5.30 PLC into mine. and they both worked like they were supposed to. I haven't tackled the Diagonal Jogging yet because it is a little more complicated and and it probably isn't worth it for no ...
