OK. Had to replace a TECO N3 VFD. Went with the Automation Direct GS3 Sensorless Vector Drive. Using 0-10VDC analog input from Centroid Control
Dammed if I can figure out how to setup the min/max speed in the drive. It doesn't use minimum and maximum frequency.

My minimum speed is 635rpm and maximum speed is 3800rpm on a knee mill. The motor itself is 3hp 1720RPM@60hz.
Anyone that has used and configured the speed in the GS series drives, I would appreciate some pointers.
I know these parameters come into play, but they are based on RPM instead of frequency. VFD is wired correctly and accepting the analog inputs just fine from the Centroid Control

This is on a Shuozuka CNC knee mill I refitted with an Acorn. The head has a Reeves drive system. I'm trying to park the drive at 1:1 and control motor speed via Acorn.
TECO N3 VFD analog connection took out 2 Acorn analog outputs and tripped faults in the Gecko G203V stepper drives. Replaced with GS3, everything works as it should. No more stepper drive faults and no more killing Acorn analog outputs. I'm done with TECO Westinghouse VFDs.
Since the machine is not here, I will have to gather what I have learned and go back.
I want to start using the AD GS drives but need to under stand how to program the low and top end speed. Spoke with their support staff and all I got was "do you really want to do that?" He wasn't very helpful at all.

In these drives (GS2 also), you imply the maximum frequency when you set the P0.xx series motor parameters.
P0.02 = Motor base frequency (usually 60Hz)
P0.03 = Motor base RPM (from nameplate, typically ca. 1760 for a 4-pole motor)
P0.04 = Motor max RPM. This is your desired maximum speed.
The drive will scale the frequency from P0.02, in proportion to P0.04/P0.03, to come up with the frequency that will give you the max speed you ask for.

Once you get the max scaling right on the VFD, set max and min RPM on the Centroid config control screen. That should take care of the low end RPM.

Thanks Tom, I got it close. The variable speed reeves drive type mechanism on the mill head complicated things a bit. There was no easy way to get to the motor shaft to read its RPM. The name plate on the motor was also virtually unreadable so that didn't help matters much.
