Software Fault Problem
Having a problem bench testing new Acorn controller.
Set up EStop button, operates fine.
Set up DriveOk on input 5, operated fine.
Removed DriveOK from input 5, Acorn operates fine.
Set up DriveOK on input 5 again, now have drive fault that won't clear with or without #5 input.
Remove DriveOK from input 5, acorn operates fine.
Repeat testing shows fault problem returns.
Did I error somewhere?
Noticed the fault messages were in the wrong order.

Re: Software Fault Problem
I thought bench test was to just get motors running and did't use fault lines. Get it moving with very basic wiring, and then add those in.
Post what wiring diagram you are using, what drivers, and put some pics in of how you wired it.

Re: Software Fault Problem
Looking at your report I can of course see the drive faults, but you're also getting communication errors.
Above all else these need to be fixed first: viewtopic.php?t=1451

Re: Software Fault Problem
I am not surprised about com errors, I definitely made some mistakes going through this.

Re: Software Fault Problem
I'll try doing several more tests and see if the com problem shows up again.

Re: Software Fault Problem
Drive Fault is not a software issue, if it comes without the driver in ALM mode the wiring or setup NO/NC of the driver / Acorn input is nok.

Re: Software Fault Problem
And COM errors are also not a software issue, it's a wiring issue. Not using shielded wire where it's needed and proper MTW for the machine. Could also be a grounding issue.
