Hey there,
I have the same motors and drivers and I was able to make them work with the acorn board just fine but I'm definitely not pleased with their performance!
It's impossible to get them tuned correctly beware!
I have a fiber laser machine that ive build based on the acorn plasma 4 axis ...

Re: AASD 20A AC Chinese servo driver issue and configuration
Hey guys here is an update on the laser.
It's now with 1:5 planetary gear reducers which helps alot with the Chinese motor. They are operating alot smoother now.
I will akso try with a 1:10 reducers in the close future.
I really believe that the servos will work great with them.

All of my motors are close loop steppers / hybrid servo
Nema 34 12nm.
I can post a fresh report but I don't think that is relevant because the whole machine moves correctly and accurate including the y3 of the tube cutter.

Inaccuracy issue
Hey there,
I'm having issues with my 6 meter long axis(y3).
This machine in an integrated sheets and tube cutting.
Runs of acorn 4 axis controller.
X - left and right on the gantry.
Y1 + Y2 - forward and backwards gantry
Z - laser head up and down
Y3 - tube backwards and forwards (rear chuck)

Re: probing each cut
Hey there, is there any news on this matter?
Also I would like to know if I want that the torch touch off cycle will not actual be probing or looking for the the float switch to be triggered, I what that it will be a fixed height that I'll choose be doing a z home position of the work piece.
Thanks

I have the - LFS AP01 capacitance sensor
it's measuring the same height no matter what is the material.

Pierce cycle programming
Hey everybody.
I'm new to programming and I need some help with changing my pierce cycle.
With my fiber laser I don't want the laser head to actual touch the metal surface when it doing the pierce cycle.
I don't want the pierce cycle to be with floating switch or ohmic sensor.
I want it to work ...
