I plan to use two Yaskawa Sigma-7 servos / ServoPacks on a project. I would like to use their absolute encoder's burst output to determine axis position at startup, avoiding the need for limit/index switches. The X-Y stages (not the motors!) are in a high-vacuum chamber so switches are awkward to implement.
Do the Oak or Hickory boards support this capability?

Re: Reading Absolute Encoders
OpticDirect (connected to Oak) and HICKORY support absolute encoders.
