Router moves 2X the commands

Post by Jrlee »

Last Friday I tried to run a job after loading V5.04. V5.04 had been loaded a couple days previous but no job run until friday. The router movements were twice the commanded distance. Router had run fine in V5.02. Friday I reverted back to V5.02 and it had also had movements at 2X. I did not use RESTORE REPORTfor V5.02.
I loaded v4.82 Friday and it ran fine, no problems, MIDI commanded movements were spot on. Today I ran a small job W/V4.82, it ran as it should.
I then installed V5.04 and manually keyed in the wizard screens. I then used the MIDI to command X and Y movements of the router.
The resulting movements were twice the distance commanded in the MIDI. All help is appreciated.

It might be helpful to have a report from the v4.82 install for comparison.

I thought about attaching this on the original post but forgot to do it.

Exact same report.
Cheers,

Sorry about that. I must hack that report in the wrong folder. That is the only thing I have for V4.82. I trash older reports. Would it help if I reloaded V4.82 and made a report?

you either have steps per rev set wrong or the overall turns ratio. sounds like steps per rev to me.

review.
