Possible retrofit Style mill

Post by knastenrad »

Hi
I have just bought a used mill that i consider converting to Centroid (acorn or acorn six)
It is a Style BM8 which is Dutch machine builder.
Based on Taiwan casting and spindle with Nidec control techniques AC Servodrives and motors. and a 20 tool tool changer
The control system today is a win98 based style's own control software, targeted conversational milling.

From what i can read from to the drive manual it supports :
analogue +/- 10v(which it runs today) ,
quadrature
Pulse direction.

But i can not find any information on the inputs (polarity, or if it's supported 24c or 5v signals)

also the spindle drive is +/-10V , but can these drives normaly accept 0-10V and then using cw/ccw inputs?
