Afternoon all- final few day's of wiring to go here! I had already installed a +5Vdc supply for the new encoders I put onto the motors. today I prepped to solder on encoder signal DB9's I noticed the PinOut +5Vdc connection point on Pin9. So is this a specific +5v source for the Encoders? In short: Do I use Pin 9's of each DB9 to my X,Y, and Z encoder power inputs?
Max I is 60ma per unit full load. Pretty darn small... If I need to un-wire that supply and use your's -Not too late yet. Or can leave pin 9 +5vdc off and run from my supply? Probably not a good idea - But I'll ask. I guess is all depends if/how you light up the 5Vdc on these to the encoders. Imemdiate and always powered- Or only when the PLC logic turns it on?
Thanks!
Jeff.

Jeff,
hello. the +5 vdc for the encoders is supplied by the Allin1DC.
connect the encoder wires to the db9 as per the install manual diagram and plug it into the Allin1DC and you are done! -Keith

Thanks a ton Keith! Getting closer and closer to electron flow time...

be sure to check out the photo slide show at the bottom of this page, great complement to the encoder hookup information that is in the Allin1DC installation manual.
