Is there a way to copy the value from a DRO and paste it into a data entry field? I will usually set my X and Y zero point to the center of the stock. I approach from one direction and then set that direction to zero (F10). I then approach from the other direction to the far edge, enter the value (and sign) from the DRO, include the division sign (/) and a 2 to divide the distance in half and accept the value (F10). There is alway a risk that I might transpose a number, forget the decimal point, forget the sign, etc. Plus it is an extra step to enter the value. I'd like to copy and paste the value directly from the DRO using the copy/paste keyboard commands. Is there a way to do this? I have not seen this documented anywhere.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
Britt

Most (but not all) Intercon screens have an "F9 Teach Mode" button that allows you to do this.
Cheers,

I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

Re: Copy/Paste from DRO
you can but kind of a pain
setup>part>WCS table>origin
(something like that, dont have cnc12 on this pc)
if you click on the numbers you can copy or edit them, hit Enter to ok the field, then save when done
first column is default G55 WCS, next column is G56 etc

Re: Copy/Paste from DRO
You could also create a macro & VCP button to do it. Swissi's Probe App would be another good option. No copy/paste/divide needed.

Thank you @rk928vc. I took a look at this with a setup this morning and I did not see away without having to type information into the field which is what I'm try to get away from.rk9268vc wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 3:08 pm you can but kind of a pain

Re: Copy/Paste from DRO
Thank you @Sword. I like this approach but - and it's a big but - I do not know how to program macros nor modify the VCP. I did download the macro programming manual and the VCP users guide. Looks like I have some light reading to do.

Re: Copy/Paste from DRO
Thank you @tblough. I'm wanting to do this on the setup screen and F9 takes you the WCS Table screen(s)
