Wired MPG Pendant

Post by bubblevisor »

I am converting a Syil X5 with an Acorn. I have the original wired MPG that I would like to re use. My question is how do I connect this to Acorn? Call me old fashioned but I am a little dubious of the wireless MPG over a wired. Perhaps that's unfounded?

The only pendant that works with the Acorn is the wirless one that Centroid sells. There are some USB game controllers that emulate keyboard key combinations that can be made to work via Centroid's keyboard interface.

I have been using the Centroid wireless pendant for over a year. It works well. I prefer it to the wired type because there is no cord to get in the way. I thought it might have issues with lag because of the wireless part. There are no issues with my set up it works just as well as the wired pendant I used on another control before I replaced it with an acorn.

WMPG works great, you can even adjust the responsiveness to your liking.

I see. The cost in the UK for the centroid WMPG is nearly 400USD...... Do the generic wireless pendants work with centroid CNC12?

Dont be. The pendant works great

Yes, totally unfounded. Sorry that it costs a few bucks, but all the right stuff does.

Many people on the internet say, that Chinese wireless MPGs don't work well, have many problems with loosing communication, lags and so on.

It seems like Centroid uses that hardware, but I read they did their own drivers for it. And everyone here states, it works like a charme.

So I doubt it would be a good idea to use the cheaper Chinese one instead of the centroid, even if you can get it to work with centroid ;)
German-speaking, so please be patient with my english-skills :)
