cutter comp

Post by Riley »

I am using mach3 and have issues changing work offsets and using cutter compensation. Even though I am turnig off cutter comp before changing offsets I get crazy outputs. I have tried the code on three different comuters and it works except for the computer hooked to the mill. Before I go reinstalling software can anybody confirm that they have used cutter comp in multiple work offsets with ajax hardware? There is a workaround that I have been using for the last year but its a pain. I have had great results with the mach/ajax combo for the last two years, very solid running system...just this one issue bugging me a little bit. Thanks, Riley

Here is a sample program...give it a try and see if it plots two circular toolpaths in different work offsets. I highly doubt it can have anything to do with the ajax plugin/motion control but I would like some feedback from someone else just to confirm it's not just on my end. Thanks
