Haunyang lathe spindle setup

Post by Svin12 »

I need help setting up a Haunyang inverter on my lathe. I cant get the speed to match what I type in to mdi at all, no mater what I set and where. I cant get my top speed to what I want, shooting for 1500 or 2000 if I can get It(can only get 2000(but not right on 2000 more like 2300 or 1800) if I set 003/005/072 to 400hz. I tried doing what you guys were saying on spindle calibration and its just all over the place. Need clarification on what pd# might need to be adjusted. 005? Also see that 072 effects it too. I have a 1.5kw 3 ph 60hz 1700 rpm I set 005 to 120hz 072 to all over the place. Set 144 max speed to 3400 (have ried multiple max speeds) and max speed in wizard to 2000. I type in mdi s500m3 and get 280 rpm. Im at a complete loss and tired of messing with it. If I adjust carrier freq. . higher It really slows down top speed. Pulling my hair out. About to give up on this build.

I have PD set to:
000-0
001-1 (run source 1:external)
002-1 (operator board 1: sim amount, external pot)
003-120hz (main freq.)(have tried 60hz, no difference)
004-60hz (base freq.)
005-120hz (max op freq.)(have tried at 60hz, no difference)
006-2.5hz (intermediate freq.)
007-.5hz (min freq.)
008-220v (max voltage)
009-15 (intermediate voltage)
010-8 (min voltage)
041-5 (carrier hz)
044-2 (for rotation)
045-3 (rev rotation)
046-14 (reset)
052-3 (fault indication)
070-0 (analog input, 0:0-10v)
072-120hz (higher analog freq.)(have tried multiple different hz)
141-220 (rated motor voltage)
142-6.0A (rated motor current)
143-4 (motor pole number)
144-3400rpm (rated motor revolution, norm 1700@60hz, 3400@120hz)(now this can be wrong, I guess you only put 1440 in to get 24000 rpm @ 400hz)
176-0(50hz) wont let me save it on 1(60hz)

Is there anything I haven't set that's important or that I have set wrong? Again this is for the HY inverter.p

Here are my notes on a HY inverter. I hope you got a GENUINE HY inverter. There are knock offs.
Also use the search box, upper right corner of the screen and search HUAN YANG.
Concentrate on getting the lower end as close as you can within a few RPM. I don't worry about getting the top end dead nuts.
