Clearpath SDSK error

Post by wellington_tregear »

V 4.12

New retrofit of a gantry router using Clearpath SDSK-3421S-ELN's. I am getting an error from MSP (Teknic software) on the Z axis with the message "Step input timing error". The error is always following a G0 Z move. Are there settings that Acorn and Clearpaths like to get along? I tried the Clearpath RAS at various settings with no results. Also tried setting F speeds to a crawl and still had the error. Thanks!

Files attached, let me know what else I need.

I would suggest running the MSP autotuning function a couple more times, making sure that you set in at least 80% of the travel for the tuning distance. I usually go 3 times at a minimum.

In some cases where you get "a funky tune" go back to the original motor profile and tune from there.

The error persists. Axis tuned many times, including profile resets. I'll try another PC today. Any further input is welcome.

We can't "SEE" your setup, how you wired it or how you set them up in the Wizard.
DID you follow the Centroid Schematics?
Many Centroid users are successfully running Acorn and CP SDSK Motors.
You need to post a report file when asking for support as well....Pictures/Video/wiring diagram would be helpful.
