Text notification upon moderator's reply

Post by Arturo Martinez »

Hi,

I believe it is unreasonable to be on the forum all the time waiting for the moderator's response on a question some one posts.

Is there a way within this Forum to ask for an automatic phone text upon moderator's response?

Thanks

No, but if subscribe to the topic, you can have an email sent when a new post is made in the subscribed topic. Keep in mind, you will not receive any additional emails (after the first) on new posts in that topic until you visit the topic to view the new post you had been notified of.

What do you mean by "if subscribe to the topic"?

In my mind, being the originator of a topic means to me that I'm subscribed to the topic already, or do I have to add more to it; if so, where?

Also, since I'm going to be using this forum for quite some time, it would be nice to have a "Forum User Guide". This way I would not have to be asking questions like the one above -preventing to become a nagging person. Is there such a thing?

Thank you,
Arturo

Hi,
I tried to attach a photo into a posting reply.
The photo is in my computer in folder C:\Robotics\Electronic wiring photos - Motor bench test, named 20180728_150640.jpg.

On the list of attached files it only appears as 20180728_150640.jpg and it goes with status !
When I click on the status icon ! a window appears saying that the "The image file you tried to attach is invalid." I guess it does not like jpg files.

The question is: what kind of photo files can I attach?

Also, your previous posting indicates how to subscribe to a topic. When do I get to see this "Text notification upon moderator's reply"? And when I get to see it, would checking the box then ask me for my email address?

Can you please elaborate on your answers? The Forum User Guide is 139 pages long. Too long for the time I have available.

Thank you.
Arturo Martinez

How large is the jpeg file? The image I have in the post above is a jpeg.

Unfortunately, the feature you are asking about "Text notification upon moderator's reply" is not something this forum supports. But if you Subscribe to the Topic as outlined above you will be notified whenever anyone posts on it.

It looks like there was an issue with just one of your images. I have increased the max allowed file limit as well as the total upload per post allowed. Please see if this works. At the very least you should be able to upload all the JPEGs aside from the one that had the issue.
