Allin1DC parameter 170
Hello,
We are still moving through our setup testing on the Allin1dc on a Bridgeport Mill using the install manual. In the alarms box on the main screen we get an alarm message that states "Change parameter 170 to 5". I cannot find any detailed description on what parameter 170 is, and when I go to look at it, it currently shows a "1". I have also just started referring the "operators" manual to help me clarify some of the statement or references that are mentioned in the "install" manual, as we work through it. This has helped us out a lot in getting the big picture, but still stuck on this parameter 170 and if I should actually adjust it...
Any thoughts or advice would be great.
Thanks!
Joe

Re: Allin1DC parameter 170
Thanks for the reply.
No jog panel, only a wired mpg. We chose to upgrade and purchased the controller to use with the touch screen. Have had some delays in working on the upgrade but it really didn’t matter as the touchscreen version is still in the works. I suppose any warranty on the controller itself is starting to time out. Which is why we started up again on completing the project (and will ise keyboard and mpg for now).
From what I understand what the “report” is, I figured it wasn’t really helpful at this point (to provide) as we are still completing the installation and following the instructions, so paramaters will still change by my actions of working through the startup... Let me know if I am wrong and I will attach by this weekend.
Thanks again

Marty
I have uploaded a report. We are still not fully through the install/startup and are up to the homing section. We have an issue we are working through with the Y axis homing as of today. so not all the parameters you will see are for a running machine yet. Thought we would be done by today, but none the less we are getting a little closer
Thanks

Re: Allin1DC parameter 170
also I forgot to mention, I have now changed parameter 170 from a 1 to a 5, as the alarm screen had stated to do. I did allow us to get past the fault and move on to the next step in the install manual, but still not sure exactly what that "1" to a "5" change was really. . .
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Allin1DC parameter 170
Not sure why a 5. Look up Parameter 148 and 178 in the Centroid 3.16 Mill Operators manual.Joe wrote: ↑Sat Jul 21, 2018 11:05 pm also I forgot to mention, I have now changed parameter 170 from a 1 to a 5, as the alarm screen had stated to do. 148 should be set to 0. 170 should be set to 1.

Re: Allin1DC parameter 170
See "KbOverOnly_M" in the PLC program source.
Adding 4 to Parameter 170 tells the PLC program that you are using only the keyboard to set Feedrate Override. This makes the feedrate override start out at 100%, instead of the 0% or 1% that is read from the (absent) jog panel.
