First parts after servo conversion

I have recently changed the steppers on the linear axis to A6 servos. 400W XY and 750W with brake on Z.

Quite overkill on the dirt-cheap benchtop mill, but with AcornSix and full closed loop with scales very precise for the cheap hardware....

ok, AcornSix and my cutting tools are not that cheap

Less than 0.01mm deviation in the first shot from CAD/CAM to the milled part and this CuSn8 is not easy to cut.

This small sucker is freaking fast now with 10m/min rapids, but still super smooth thanks to the s-curve acceleration from Centroid.

Right now, the mill is making more parts unattended in the basement running on the latest beta software, while I am drinking wine in the living room.

That is what I like most on Centroid 100% reliable performance.

Great stuff. Is that 4th Axis rotary work? If so, how are you doing this is multiaxis in Fusion looks to be locked?

It is only with indexing the A axis and parallel tool path with a ball nose mill.

Thanks. So does it then move A automatically in the output GCODE?

Sure it is posting the A codes.

Very easy to do, just use tool orientation in fusion and a PP with 4 or more axis

For 4 Axis the one from swissi is fine, for more use mine, but it will need a machine model, because the kinematics are used from the machine simulation.

Some screenshots how I made the tool path in fusion with simulation.

Thanks. I might look at that for my Granite Dental machine. Didnt think it was possible for more than 3 Axis on the normal Fusion license without addon.
