Hello, I am trying to figure out what the proper shut down procedure is for my mill that is currently running CNC7. I feel uneasy just cutting the power off without doing it programmatically on the control, as I don't want to damage it.
Thanks in advance.

Press Esc until the main screen is displayed. Turn off power.
DOS was not picky about shutdown. It did not have a multitude of files and processes open like newer operating systems.

Hello everyone,
I need some assistance on figuring out how to add a probe to my knee mill (type, connection location, maybe programming). Thanks guys.

Looking at the picture of your cabinet, I see what looks to be our standard probe header mounted to the top.
Type? Well, I'm going to recommend our own probes. If you don't have any particular requirements for a long stylus then a KP-1 should do the job. I would order KP-1 kit P/N: 15503 because it comes with the correct cable (P/N: 15431).
As far as programming goes, it looks like you will need the probing and digitizing cycles unlocked before you can do much with the probe.

Thank you much. As far as the connector goes, If it is the same for the Height Tool, then the answer is yes. I am looking at ordering the probe you recommended. How do I go about unlocking the probing and digitizing cycles?
