Pat,
Glad to hear you got everything working. I have the same kit with 3 axis for a mini mill conversion. Your post helped me get to a successful setup and bench test of one motor.
I do have a question about how you have the "brake" terminal on the driver. It appears to be a purple wire. Is it hooked to a relay setup?

Hi Bob,
I don't have a brake set up for any motors. The purple wire is my enable signal that goes back to Input 5 (IN5) on Acorn controller.

I recently got in a couple of new CL57T V4.1 drives and they now have a new entry in the signal block. After ALM+ there is now BRK and COM. There is no longer an ALM-.
Is this covered in a different thread?

The COM is the common negative for the alarm and brake. This is all outlined in the manual.

I'm looking for 'decent' stepper drivers for the 4 axis granite machine im retrofitting. Would these be recommended? Only 2 in stock in the UK but can order elsewhere if needed.
