Pat,

Glad to hear you got everything working. I have the same kit with 3 axis for a mini mill conversion. Your post helped me get to a successful setup and bench test of one motor.

I do have a question about how you have the "brake" terminal on the driver. It appears to be a purple wire. Is it hooked to a relay setup?

Bob

Hi Bob,
I don't have a brake set up for any motors. The purple wire is my enable signal that goes back to Input 5 (IN5) on Acorn controller.

StepperOnLine CL57 V4.1 Driver.jpg
I recently got in a couple of new CL57T V4.1 drives and they now have a new entry in the signal block. After ALM+ there is now BRK and COM. There is no longer an ALM-.
Is this covered in a different thread?
Otherwise, FYI
Gary

The COM is the common negative for the alarm and brake. This is all outlined in the manual.

I'm looking for 'decent' stepper drivers for the 4 axis granite machine im retrofitting. Would these be recommended? Only 2 in stock in the UK but can order elsewhere if needed.
