I'm sure since I have a wireless Tool sensor on mines which serves as dual purpose. I was using it to set tool length and setting part zero. I wanted to know if it's possible to run two...Tool Touch Off and Surface Plate? I'm using a RapidChange ATC ( disabled at the moment during beta testing) which records tool length each time the tool picks up. I will submit a report this afternoon.cnckeith wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 6:33 pmare you confusing a Tool Touch off (aka TT used for setting tool lengths) with a Surface plate typically used to set part zero?Boatwrights Workshop wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 6:02 pm Will there be a revised manual for the new features, especially for the "Configuration Wizard? so by recording tool length each time tool picks up you mean it resets the tool lenght. i.e. no tool library information is retained.Boatwrights Workshop wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 5:54 amI'm sure since I have a wireless Tool sensor on mines which serves as dual purpose. so sure you can do this, where are you measuring the tools at in space? at a fixed location in Z or on top of the work piece?

Re: CNC12 Router Restructure Beta Software thread. RC3 Now available, July 29rd
In the attached photos I show the setup. So my Tool sensor ( correct my terminology if it's wrong?) is movable but I will use any tool to set Z work piece either off table bed (preferably) or stock material after it has recorded the tool height initially. However, I would like to keep this on in a fixed location and use another to set Z. Yes it will reset every tool touch off regardless if it's still the same tool but it does show in tool library. I have programmed information for the library such as bit diameter and name.cnckeith wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 8:46 amso by recording tool length each time tool picks up you mean it resets the tool lenght. i.e. no tool library information is retained.Boatwrights Workshop wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 5:54 amI'm sure since I have a wireless Tool sensor on mines which serves as dual purpose. set that thing up as a fixed TT
and then use another "device" with another input as a surface or touch plate to set z part Zero
