Help with Huan Yang VFD no movement at all Acorn

Post by agvengineering »

Hello I intalled my Huan Yang 2.2kw VFD, I have everything connected according to the schematics and the file shared by Marty on other threads but I get no movement from the controller.

I have the jumper on VI
Connected all the cables to the board accordingly I am using signals VB & VC right now since I have VA & VC and wasn't getting any movement either.
Also I have all the parameters on my vfd set accordingly to the Huanyang VFD Setup sheet shared by Marty.

I changed the dirverOK signal to NO and I got a spindle fault error, but thats about it. (i Switch it back to NC)

Checking for the voltage on the 0-10VDC output is correct I set up acorn spindle speed from 0 to 10k and when started to 5K i got 5V

I have tested in manual mode and the vfd does turn the spindle.

Any ideas on what could be going on?

Attached is a report and some pictures of my connections.

Finally I almost have the VFD up and running it turned out to be to be the jumper that came with the unit for the VR and VI pins was broken, I soldered the jumper back and I ahve the VFD kind of working because now I can turn it on, off, reverse & forward from the software but i cant control speed.

I have my machine set from 0 to 4000 RPM when I starts centroid software and set the spindle to 2000RPM I get a 5VDC voltage on acron and on the VFD. Once I turn on the spindle it starts but goes to 400RPM and when I go and measure the voltage I get readings from 1.8 to 2.0VDC any ideas what could be causing the voltage drop & fluctuation.

Best regards
