I am laying out a control panel using the USBBOB. How are the AUX terminals of the MPG terminals mapped / used? I read through the USBBOB manual and I need some clarification. I assume they are inputs like on the rotary encoders?
Also, is the protocol for the USB communication documented somewhere? I wouldn't mind using a USBBOB for another non-CNC project I have in the plans.

Re: AUX MPG Inputs on MPG terminals of USBBOB
If you referring to the Aux Pin4 of each MPG connector on the BOB circuit board, they are not connected to anything on the board.
I am using one of mine as a terminal connector for two circuits as shown in the photo below.

Re: AUX MPG Inputs on MPG terminals of USBBOB
Rats. I was hoping for some "free" inputs. Thanks for the quick answer. Now that I look at it, it looks like they are brought out to test points only. Too bad. Would have cost another 4 channel isolator but maybe they ran out of rasp-pi pins too.

Re: AUX MPG Inputs on MPG terminals of USBBOB
The AUX pins on the handwheel inputs were left unused for possible future expansion. Currently, there are no plans to do anything with them.
I'll ask for permission to share the command set documentation I added to the test manual.

USBBOB communications protocol information is attached to this post. It is very similar to the Ether1616 protocol.
