LATEST UPGRADE & TOOL LIBRARY <resolved>
I UPGRADED TO THE LATEST SOFTWARE FOR ACORN AND I'M UNABLE TO MAKE ANY CHANGES TO MY TOOL LIBRARY.
I MAKE A CHANGE AND SAVE IT AND IT KICKS ME OUT AND PUTS IN A RANDOM NUMBER.
I TRIED DELETED THE WHOLE TTL FILE AND PUTTING IT BACK IN AGAIN AND IT DOES THE SAME THING ALL OVER AGAIN.
I HAVE ATTACHED MY REPORT.
ANY SUGGESTIONS TO THE PROBLEM WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!
THANKS,

Amazing!
You’re actually worried about if I type in Capital’s?
Who care’s, just trying to solve a problem.
No response to my question ! Another day loss!

Re: LATEST UPGRADE & TOOL LIBRARY
There was a bug in the API call for tool height offsets but I think that was fixed in 5.22 and not sure if this is your problem or not. There are a lot of API calls in your error report but this is a lathe and I just don't know enough about how a lathe is setup. This is the first I've heard of an issue like this. I am running 5.20 and have not seen this issue with entering offsets.
Did you manually re-enter all your settings for 5.22?

Re: LATEST UPGRADE & TOOL LIBRARY
I have been using lathe software since 4.62. There was no problem with the tool lib in any version.
The problem must be described with an example, I have no clue in which field the random number is.
By the way some amount of kindness is good for motivation if asking for free help

Re: LATEST UPGRADE & TOOL LIBRARY
I have not done anything , been waiting to see if anyone else had this same problem.
What their fix is?
My only thought is the software was corrupted in the download.
You can put a number in but it will not safe it, the software puts in a number from I don’t know where!
Thinking that the my only answer is to delete the program and download a new copy and do the install all over as I can’t have the lathe down anymore!

Re: LATEST UPGRADE & TOOL LIBRARY
jerry, its pretty hard to even guess at what you are doing with the vague description provided, what number? where? etc.. we have no idea what you are talking about. post a video or photos if you can't describe the steps you are taking.

Re: LATEST UPGRADE & TOOL LIBRARY
1. I downloaded and installed the latest version of software CNC12 5.22 for a lathe.
2. This is a completely new install and the computer is Windows 11.
3. Installed my license for Acorn Lathe Pro.
4. I deleted the tool file and installed a copy of my tool library.
5. The Tool Library will not allow me to make any changes to any of the offsets. I put a number in for a tool and it changes it to some random number when I go to save it. Does not matter what tool , it does the same for all of them.
6. Going to delete CNCT from my system and download software again. Thinking that the software was corrupted for some reason.

Re: LATEST UPGRADE & TOOL LIBRARY
The cnct.ttl file was never changed I am, using the same file from 4.62 till current 5.22 just as a copy after each update from previous version.
After a clean install it will work.
