This is a great video! I can see this for a Mill, but has anyone done screw compensation on a router without that kind of DRO? If so, how did you get the extremely accurate measurements that are required?
Thanks!
Thanks!

For large movements or even more accurately measuring you can use a laser interferometer. Its a much more expensive and takes a ton of time to setup and use. I have a youtube video about using one i made and a ballbar to really dial in a mill.

I've seen the video it was very detailed and really well done, but I don't have the expertise or the equipment. I'm wondering if screw comp is something that the router folks do? Back Lash comp, Screw Comp, or neither. My machine is for wood and plastic; is screw comp overkill?

I watched the video on how to do the backlash and the ballscrew compensation. However, I am still off and would like to dial it in a lot closer. What is the process for adjusting the tables to account for the small differences on the 2nd or 3rd go around? I've tried doing a separate run and then adding the differences to the original number in the table and still don't get what I'm desiring for accuracy. I've attached the most recent report for reference.
