AXIS connector housings are JST #PUDP-30V-S and the crimp terminals are JST #SPUD-001T-P0.5.
Cheers,

So it turns out the spindle drive (Yaskawa GA700) supplied with this mill does not have the "Orient" function for stopping the spindle in position for tool changes. I confirmed with Yaskawa...
The mill does have the correct type of spindle encoder with 1 index pulse per rev. Is there a way to get the centroid control to handle spindle orientation for tool changes?

If it was supplied with the mill, have you spoken with the vendor about it? How did they expect it to work and orient the spindle?jhenise wrote: ↑Mon Nov 11, 2019 11:26 pm So it turns out the spindle drive (Yaskawa GA700) supplied with this mill does not have the "Orient" function for stopping the spindle in position for tool changes. I agree with what Marty says: if the vendor sold you an ATC machine frame with a purportedly suitable spindle drive, then they need to provide a drive capable of orienting the spindle.
Does the GA700 that you have, have provision for receiving the encoder signal and running in closed-loop vector mode? If it does, I have a Centroid PLC-based solution that will probably work for you, but it is something I would charge for (not give away).
Have you received or obtained a manual that specifically applies to this GA700 model? All I could find on the Yaskawa site was documentation for the (UL market) GA800 drives. My experience with the A1000 has been that there are enough differences between the Asian-market drives and the UL-market drives to make having the right manual very important.

Re: Oak Control, Yaskawa Servos, on Brand New Rigid Head Bed Mill with ATC
I have inquired about the drive from my supplier to see if there is anything they know or can do...
Yes I have the GA700 (CIPR-GA70T2042-ABAA-CAAAAA) manual. I have contacted Yaskawa about it too. The GA800 (USA) is the newer replacement for the A1000 and the GA700 is the European equivalent. Yaskawa has a special firmware version for the A1000 to allow Orient. However they have not released the equivalent firmware for the GA800 (just released in 2019), and don't have any intended release date if any as of now. They did tell me to contact Yaskawa Europe to see if Orient is avail for the GA700 so I am waiting to hear about that. Fingers crossed.
With the A1000, GA700, or GA800 you need the PG-X3 encoder expansion card for closed loop vector operation and to relay the encoder signal to teh oak board. I have that. But it alone doesn't not give these drives orient, the special firmware is required...

Some showed some have not. Better if you just upload them here using the attachments tab under the Full Editor option
