Re: Acorn controller card question
You can start by posting some pictures of the install so we can see the Acorn, 1616, power supplies for both and the network switch.noel-nogal wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 5:22 pm Hi mr. Marty

Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
I have CDO. It's like OCD, but the letters are where they should be.

Re: Acorn controller card question
This is a good sign, it appears the ETH1616 card is working. Center segment means it is ready, but not communicating with CNC12 yet. Error 2 is "no link", which is correct if you turn off the switch.noel-nogal wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 5:57 pm The card its showing a segment on the display on, when i remove the power from the switch the display shows the number 2 blinking, the green leds in the switch two flashes and the one corresponding to the ether1616 is steady on20210519_154206.jpg20210519_154215.jpg20210519_154242.jpg20210519_154206.jpg]
Make sure the jumper block is on A0 position.
Please start CNC12 with everything connected and post a report. "eth1616log.txt" should contain some clues, as well as other files in the report.

Re: Acorn controller card question
Along with what Matt (Eng199)is suggesting (Always post a fresh report!),
Unplug and plug back in your Ethernet cables at the switch and to Ether1616. Make sure they are firmly seated in the connectors and no pressure on the cable at the connector.

Re: Acorn controller card question
Yes i did exactlly what instructions say.
What about the A0 address 10.168.41.3 it say cnc12 automatically identify it but where i can see that addres? Or do i have to replace the ip address in the ethernet adapter, now it is 10.168.41.1 wich is for the acorn

Re: Acorn controller card question
Go through the instructions and double check everything.
DO NOT CHANGE THE PC's ETHERNET ADDRESS!
Do you know how to use PING?
Type CMD in Windows 10 search box
When you have the Command box open type
Ping 10.168.41.3
See what you get.
