I mistakenly bought the mill board assuming it was just a matter of selecting lathe or mill in the software, have waited now over a week for lathe software to be beta tested AND RELEASED ....and still nothing ? sigh.....

Hello. the lathe software is done.. we're waiting on a few additions to the mill software to release them both at the same time as v4.08. send me a private message and I can get you a copy of the lathe software to get you going. The official release of 4.08 will probably be this Friday.

Is there a Lathe board and a Mill board or just one board that does both?

Lathe is worth the few extra days wait. We all shoot for the release date, but sometimes it's best not to rush it.
The one thing you will see with Centroid, is their diligent follow through. If a repeatable issue is discovered, they will address it.

Remember the same software running Acorn will be release for Oak and All in One DC. It has to work correctly. Just so happens that we Acorn users get it first. 😀

Now my All in One DC hat on....I'm looking forward to having the Virtual Control Panel on my DC servo based mill! ;)

Hello. I have a Lathe RC (release candidate) Acorn CNC12 software that will become the official public release soon. If anyone is waiting on Acorn Lathe software and has the Acorn wired up and bench tested, has an internet connection at the CNCPC with teamviewer installed and has some way to communicate verbally while at the machine tool, speakers and mic on CNCPC is a good way to go, (we can talk to you thru Teamveiwer or skype) or phone number and is ready to start moving motors. Private Message me. -Keith

Well poop! I'm not quite there yet. I'm mounting the encoder this weekend. Got the 1:1 spindle timing pulleys modified & mounted last night and the belt came in. Will hook up the motors & be ready for software early next week. Hoo-rah!
