Will I be able to convert a machine with glass to run on an Acorn Boarrd.

there is one encoder port on the Acorn, you can use that for a glass scale if you like. typical use in that regard is for a scale on a quill of a knee mill.
if you are asking for glass scale for positioning on three axes the answer is no. Use Oak or Allin1Dc cnc control boards for that kind of application!
