After using a probing cycle and disconnecting the KP-3 probe, I see graphical flickering in the UI. It seems to be any highlighted input box and the Esc menu item that flicker. This issue persists across all the menus, not just the probing/part setup menu. It doesn't seem to matter if I disconnect the probe while in the probe menu or keep it connected until I've exited back to the main menu, then disconnect it. This effect persists until I exit and restart the software. The flickering will stop if I plug in the probe again.
If I use a probe cycle that ends with the probe tripped (e.g. auto in parts setup), I will see the screen flicker as the probe is tripped after the cycle has ended. All the menu items flicker, instead of just the Esc button and this flickering stops after I clear the probe. However if I then disconnect the probe, either in the probe menu or after I exit it, then highlighted inputs will start flickering as described before. If I use a probing cycle that doesn't end with the probe tripped, the flickering will only start after I have disconnected the probe.
This doesn't seem to effect functionality, but I was wondering if this is a known issue and if there are any workarounds.

Re: Flickering UI after probe disconnect
The Report File seems to be corrupted.
The flickering while the probe is in a tripped status is a known issue but you should not get the flickering when you disconnect the probe.
Please check if you can open the Report File you posted on your computer and upload it again if it's ok. If it doesn't open on your computer either, create a new report and upload it.

Odd, seems to open fine on my computer. I'll upload again and also try a different one.

Re: Flickering UI after probe disconnect
Do you have by any chance one of the early KP-3 that has the signal flipper board shrink wrapped at the end of the cable?theblinkingman wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 10:35 pm Odd, seems to open fine on my computer. I'll upload again and also try a different one.

Re: Flickering UI after probe disconnect
How did you connect the KP-3 to the Acorn board? Is the KP-3 cable directly and permanently connected to Acorn and you just unplug the cable at the Probe or did you install a connector at the control box where you plug and unplug the Probe?
How did you connect the 3 wires from the KP-3 cable? Which color goes to which port on the Acorn?
Also can you post 3 screenshots of the CNC12 Input/Output screen (Alt-i from the CNC12 main screen) that shows the LEDs with
- Probe attached but not tripped
- Probe attached and tripped
- Probe disconnected

Re: Flickering UI after probe disconnect
The probe cable is permanently connected directly to the Acorn board and I disconnect it at the probe.

Re: Flickering UI after probe disconnect
I believe this is a known issue with v4.50 that will be rectified in the next release
