I woul put a meter on DC, I would put my meter Common lead in INT GND (pin 7 or 8) and put the meter positive lead on pin 9 and then 10. Record any voltage.
THEN
Put the meter on Pin 9(M CW) and turn the control on forward and read the voltage.
THEN
Put the meter on Pin 10(M CCW) and turn the control on reverse and read the voltage.

Report back. Do you have experience with electronics or working with electricity??

No plate on the motor. They told me it is a supplier commodity part and there is no label present. Not good reply, I think.
These are the characteristics supplied. Something else needed?

Three phase synchronous motor with frequency converter and integrated cooling
230 V
50/60 Hz
2,0 kW
100 - 5000 U/min

Run the rest I suggest. We are trying to verify that it takes 24vdc to turn on CW and CCW

At the least you may need a signal isolator like the KBSI-240D

I made some measurements and photo of the frequency converter; it is a built in unit together with the motor. I am a little upset with them because cables colours and pin number in potentiometer are different to the ones in the electrical scheme... not good.

Something strange... when measuring voltage the value was not stable in the multimeter. Problem of my device? I don't know. Voltage indicated is when the value was (more or less) stabilized in the display. But none of them was trying to reach 24V... ??

I do not have real experience working with electronics/electricity; some kits built over the time, and it is hard for me to understand. Things learned in the old times at university I think are likely in the bottom of my RAM :) . However I think I can follow instructions :mrgreen:

Lorenzo, the point of the test was to turn on the motor, read the voltages on the CW and CCW pins.

Even after you figure out what the drive wants for logic inputs, you are most likely still going to need a signal isolator.
You will need to find someone to help you figure out what it takes to control the motor drive.
You have what you need, you just don't understand how to take the readings.

Lorezo, my apologies, I was using my smartphone and didn't see that.
Curiously, what voltage do you read on that 24VDC pin? I don't understand where 36VDC is coming from.

That said, it appears you can use the Acorn output relay to control forward and reverse
I strongly suggest a KB Electronics KBSI-240D signal isolator. Search KBSI-240D here.
Do not connect the Acorn spindle analog outputs directly to the Analog input on the drive without knowing whether or not those signals inputs are isolated.

First small step... acorn board powered on, heart beat OK, and communication with CNC12 last version works... sensible to e-stop on and release.

Will follow Marty's step by step bench test with motors.

One question; wizard does not list StepperOnLine as motor option.

Should I choose closest config. i.e. Leadshine, and go through parameters according my driver's data?
