Re: Wireless MPG's are back in stock
Have been away for a while haven't had any problems with either of my centroid acorns thought about getting another mpg so I don't have to switch mine back in forth from mill to lathe looks like they have double in price I guess I will keep moving back and forth

Re: Wireless MPG's are back in stock
I think I paid about $200 when I purchased mine, the price in the link is $239 (for the Acorn), no where near double. They said the price would increase after the introduction period.
Still a good deal, having used one.

Re: Wireless MPG's are back in stock
I think the reason he said the price had doubled is that the default price is for the Oak board. Scroll down to get the $239 price for the Acorn board...

Re: Wireless MPG's are back in stock
The price is the same for the Wireless MPG itself for Acorn, Oak, All in One DC.
If you have multiple Acorns, they all have to be running PRO (So you have to buy licenses for each one to use the WMPG)
If you have multiple All in One DCs/OAK, they all have to have licenses for each one to use the one same WMPG, so licenses need to be purchased for them as well.
The reason the OAK price for the Wireless MPG looks higher is because the cost of the license $139 appears to be included along with the cost of the WMPG $239
If you are complaining about $239 for a decent Wireless MPG with additional features (and I believe they still pick up shipping costs) you are in the wrong hobby/business.

Re: Wireless MPG's are back in stock
I'm a little confused... The wireless mpg is listed as $403.00 for all-in-one-dc. The Acorn option is the only one listed at $264.martyscncgarage wrote: ↑Sat Mar 07, 2020 9:52 am The price is the same for the Wireless MPG itself for Acorn, Oak, All in One DC.

Does the Acorn board use a different wireless mpg?
I only have one machine running a centroid control, do I still have to buy the password?
If I do, once it's unlocked, can other generic wireless mpg's be configured to work with my all in one board?
Thanks

Re: Wireless MPG's are back in stock
Pro license unlocks the MPG. And no, only this MPG works.

Re: Wireless MPG's are back in stock
Same cost in either case.
- Acorn wireless MPG requires Pro level software. so real cost to get an MPG running on Acorn is
$264 for the MPG + $139 for Pro License = $403
- Oak/allinoneDC/mpu11 wireless MPG cost $403 and includes the software unlock for the wireless MPG functionality. (part#14688)
