V2xt limit switch.
I am buying the allinone kit for my Bridgeport V2xt tomorrow. I see in the wiring diagrams to use a X + and an X - limit switchso same with the Y axis. Bridgeport only uses one switch for +and -.what do I do?
Thanks Keith.
Thanks Keith.

Re: V2xt limit switch.
Use the limit switches you do have and set up software travel limits. The software travel limits will not allow you go past the points specified.

Re: V2xt limit switch.
Liviu is correct. Provided you follow the All In One installation manual and set everything up correctly, soft limits work very well in the CNC12 software.

Re: V2xt limit switch.
With one limit switch per axis (say, X minus and Y plus) you will need to defeat the limit input in the other direction (X plus and Y minus). You will do that by throwing DIP switches on the All-in-one DC board.

Eat the elephant one bite at a time. We are here if you need help. Consider doing a build log, create a google album for pictures and most importantly, upload a video to YouTube when you are done and share it in the "Success Stories" forum.Bastard Thread wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2019 2:51 am Thanks every one for your help. Re: V2xt limit switch.
Keith, off subject but those limit switches Bridgeport use suck the big banana. Out of five switches on my V2XT. The NO didn't work on one of them. They are made in Germany and cost a small ransom (The ones on E-Bay that are dirt cheap don't work ether. Don't waste your time). You can pop the cover off with a screw driver but under no circumstances remove the guts. You will never get the spring clips back in again. Hold the guts down with your finger and clean the contacts with a miniature diamond file and spray a little contact cleaner. The lid posts need to be clip a little to put them back on again as they are melted in at the factory. Bob L
