Re: Acorn not controlling DMM Servo
Marty, here are the pictures of the wiring. I tried another computer to see if it would work any better. I had the exact same problems. I've tried every setting possible to no avail. I love a challenge but this has gone way beyond that. Let me know what you think

Re: Acorn not controlling DMM Servo
You’re initial pic shows your ac voltage going to T and S on the drive and not S and R like it shows you have it now. I have no idea but I wonder if that could have damaged something.

Re: Acorn not controlling DMM Servo
I just wanted to try it a different way. It didn't make any difference. It still works fine at 200khz like it did before. I don't know if it's Acorn or DMM?
I'm also wondering if DMM cables are causing an issue?

Re: Acorn not controlling DMM Servo
Here's a video of what I have been dealing with. 1st part of the video is at 200khz second half is 400khz.

Re: Acorn not controlling DMM Servo
Why do you have only X and Y set up? Is this going on a mill or lathe?
Why did you change the enable state in the DMMDRV software? You should leave it factory default (which I believe is unchecked) and use the Centroid Advanced tab to deal with the enables.
Configure Acorn with proper axis configuration for the machine you planning controlling. Hook up one drive and cable and retest.

Re: Acorn not controlling DMM Servo (Added video to my post)
I've been testing X axis the whole time. I wanted to see if Y axis worked any better. If I uncheck the active low in DMM software and uncheck enable in advanced settings I get the same result. The only difference is the axis led goes red when I start to move the axis. I'm still bench testing. It shouldn't matter if I have both X and Y setup. I only have one of the axis connected to the DMM drive. You have to remember I've been messing with this for a few days. I have tried every conceivable way possible. I even tried another computer to see if that was the problem. I got the same result.

Here is a video only showing 1 drive connected to Acorn.

Re: Acorn not controlling DMM Servo (Added video to my post)
I took out a DYN4 Drive from my lathe, set it up on my bench. Running CNC12 4.18. I can recreate your problem. At 400khz, there is no Y- movement.
Go into your advanced tab in the Wizard, look at the enable check box. Did it change from how you set it?
I will talk to Centroid on Monday. I think its a bug you found in 4.18.
By the way, see attached screen shot of my DMMDRV settings for reference.

Re: Acorn not controlling DMM Servo (Added video to my post)
I would like you to go into the ADVANCED tab. I would like you to INVERT both the STEP and DIR on the axis you have a DMM DYN4 connected to.
Set it to 400KHZ pulse rate.
Write the settings.
Try and turn your motor in both directions.
My motor is now turning in both directions.
Please see attached screen shot. Please note, the enable check box is changing when you exit and REENTER the Wizard.
Report back when you have inverted both the STEP and DIRECTION and at 400KHZ whether or not you have motor movement in both directions.
