single limit switch per axis

Post by wwenter »

I have an oak board and using one limit switch per axis and will be homing to a index pulse. Can I use one switch per axis or do I have to have two, Or can I jump -X to +X. I am wired to +x to the switch all ready.

If you use the same switch at both ends of an axis, then you will be unable to jog off of a tripped limit.

You would have to press E-stop and turn the screw by hand until clear.

Use the mechanical limits and your index pulse to home. I would think you should setup and use soft limits for the other end. Soft limits in the Centroid software work great.
