Sometimes I feel like my 56 year old brain will never figure this out, but I persist. Got the machine built, wiring from the motors, limit switches, and E-Stop connected and now I need to connect the other ends to the Acorn.
I have a DB25 breakout board and I am using the Leadshine wiring diagram with my KL 5056 drivers. This diagram shows 6 hookups to the motor driver. Pul+, Pul-,Dir+, Dir-, Ena+, and Ena-.
So Pul and Step are the same thing.
The diagram shows 6 hookups to the Acorn board using the screw connections. Three of them are 5V+, and the other three are Pul-, Dir-, and Ena-.
But I am using a DB25 breakout board.
I am pretty certain I don't hookup 6 wires to the DB25 breakout board for each driver. I am thinking that I only connect the Step and Direction wires from the breakout board to each driver. What about the com connections on the breakout board? Is there one going to each driver too?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

You don't need the enables. leave + & - disconnected

What about connecting the drivers to the com connections on the DB25. Or is it just two wires to the drivers from the breakout board?

Look at the last half of this video: https://youtu.be/TLOtXTOSUWo
You will see that I note pulling 4 grounds (1 for each axis' drive) and step (pulse) and direction for each drive. 3 in total for each axis used. I jumped the grounds at the drive from PUL- to DIR-. And like Scott says, you do not need the enable

Re: Using the DB25 breakout board with Leadshine setup.
I did watch the video, but it wasn't clear to me. If I understand you right, from each driver I jumper the Pul- and Dir- together and then connect that to the one of the com on the DB25 for a total of using 4 of the coms on the DB25. Right?

Assuming you are using 4 drives, yes
