Reddit suggests that some have needed to do some registry edits. Will take a look at that in a bit.

Did you test other USB ports and other USB cables? USB is suboptimal for a reliable contact.

Yep, different USB ports, different cables.
Thing is, it works for hours. Not like its just a minute or two (or not at all).
