8 Relay Ver. 1.1 hookups

Post by ShaAli »

Hello,

Would it possible to help me figure out how do I connect (wire) some 110v devices like shopvac, air compressor using this relay? I tried to search for the wiring diagram and I was not able to find. I am it exists :)

Thank you so much for all your help.

Those devices draw too much current to be connected directly to the acorn relay board and should be controlled by a contactor

And that contactor Gary mentioned is then controlled by one of the 8 Acorn relays.

If you do use an SSR, make sure that you use one designed to match your load type. AC Inductive, resistive and capacitive loads are each best served by slightly different specs. And use 2 (or a double pole) if switching 230VAC. Also, since many DIY guys buy on price, after wiring is complete, make sure that the load terminals go to zero volts when off, not all of them will.
