Re: Homing gone awry

Bingo
I have a tt1 and a dp4 tied into a cncsnw box.
The DP 4 had gotten mist oil on it which found it's way inside. Apparently it caused a short across the cable connector pin.
Cleaned it with some Deoxit and it's happy again.... for the moment anyway.
Thanks

Re: Spindle not acheiving set speed before spindle fault

I have fussed with that spindle encoder far too many times.
I have changed it out at least twice and beefed up suspect portions of it. No real help.
However, I have come to believe that the issue is a mechanical one. The head on this bed mill has always been incredibly noisy.
It generates a knock ...

Spindle not acheiving set speed before spindle fault

This happens from time to time and haven't been able to outsmart it.
Spindle rpm starts as the z moves down toward the part. If it does not reach X rpm it faults out.
It also seems slow to reach x rpm
In the past a faulty spindle encoder was to blame. Not this time.
It always seems a bit backwards ...

Z axis exceeded -- I know the cause

But not the cure.
As seen in the photo the issue is with the designated tool. Top Right.
I fussed around with the tool library both in Centroid and the Fusion file. Everything looks as it should.
Looking for the obscure.
Thanks

Re: m400, windows failure to load

Yes, to jog panel keys.
I was pondering whether or not to hit the F1. It is not obvious what to do there. I did not want to make matters worse.
The power comes direct from the little power supply included in the kit.
I will rig up the old supply to power it but one would hope that the skunkworks ...

Re: m400, windows failure to load

Plugged in a monitor and it is confirmed that 12 fires up.
It leaves the following messages which is of no concern at the moment.
When plugged into the outside monitor none of the command keys are lit up.

This brings me to this board which appears to be the screen power source.

UPDATE
I was advised that the best course of action was to install this>
CNC11 Micro ATX to Mini PC Upgrade for CNC12 (#14532)
It is my understanding that it came preset along with my latest report installed.

I spent the afternoon switching it all out.
I followed the instructions and photos step ...
