Re: Introduction video to using Notepad ++ and the NCnetic G code editing plugin.

Can you install the plugin without having your machine setup to run cnc12 e.g. I want to run it on a computer not "tuned" to run a machine It's a Notepad++ plugin. Other than being able to parse GCode it has no connection to actual machining. If you can run Notepad++ then you can use the ...

Re: Introduction video to using Notepad ++ and the NCnetic G code editing plugin.

Historically a long time user of Notepad++, and yep, did it manually. It works fine. The color coding for the different axes and parameters is nice. Like for other NPP uses.

Re: Introduction video to using Notepad ++ and the NCnetic G code editing plugin.

Hi, There is a problem with the 1.30 PC Tuner installing the NCnetic plugin for Notepad++. The PC Tuner only looks for a Notepad++ installation on the C: drive. If Notepad++ is installed on a different drive, the PC Tuner is unable to located the installation. Otherwise the NCnetic plugin is very ni...

Re: Post Processor for Solidworks?

It is my understanding that CAD/CAM customers work with their CAD product providers/resellers (Solidworks, Fusion360, Solid Edge)to provide PP for the CAM portion of their products. If you're a hobbyist, be glad that there are free/minimal cost tools of commercial quality to support our interests. C...

Re: Post Processor for Solidworks?

Also, if you have some software skills, there are free tools to create/modify a pp. And you do have the g code from intercon to check your output. And once again, Hawk Ridge Systems wrote a Centroid Mill pp for me at no charge. It works great.

Re: Post Processor for Solidworks?

Hawk Ridge produced a Centroid MIll PP for me at no cost. It's a free down load on their web site. If you ask, they may produce one for a lathe. CNCKeith, please correct me here, but using a Fanuc PP will work with Centroid. Solidworks does have both a 2 axis and 4 axis PP for Fanuc. Also, Solidwork...

Re: Solidworks for $38.50 a year

CNC Keith has told me that the fanuc pp work with centroid. Hawkridge systems made a free centroid mill pp, only 3 axis, that is on their website for free. You might want to ask them if they will generate one for a centroid driven lathe
