Re: Configuring a 4 axis Allin1 with partially missing A axis Motor/encoder/Axis hardware

If your motors are running at 180v, 3 megs can pass 60 uA which is a very small current. I personally would not worry. The A axis is disabled exactly as I described above. Motor connected, motor disconnected either way you can get to that screen and disable the A axis. As for the DC1, look on the pr...

Re: Questions regarding configuring limit switches for Allin1

Thanks, Still confused! Wire the encoders per the Centroid schematic. Connect the motor + and - voltage to the All-in-one and connect encoders. Issue a motion command via the MDI. If the motor responds and stops, all is good. If the motor either gives a position error or goes into runaway, reverse ...

Re: OAK 4x8 Router Build with ATC

I am however confused with this detailed section of the schematic. Would someone be kind enough to shed some light on it please? Detailed Control.JPG There's an EStop, push button STOP, RA1?? (no idea) a push button ON, a magnetic contractor, and another magnetic contactor with snubbers??? (SK?) It...

Re: Questions regarding configuring limit switches for Allin1

I am not sure if CNC12 will consider the direction of travel when the switch trips. Maybe someone else can answer that. If it were me, I would change it so it only trips on whatever end of travel you want to home to. I assume that this switch is in the middle of the saddle, and the trip dogs are on ...

Re: Configuring a 4 axis Allin1 with partially missing A axis Motor/encoder/Axis hardware

My 2 cents, The 3 megs is probably from dust from the brushes. I would open it up and carefully blow it out. Almost certainly PWM is used to control these DC motors, so they would be seeing full voltage. They are speed controlled by changing the duty cycle of the pulse they receive. To disable the 4...

Re: Questions regarding configuring limit switches for Allin1

I used SOOW wire for my limit switches on my Bridgeport Series II. It has a tough rubber jacket that is oil and weather resistant. I used 18 ga and it is widely available, even the big box stores sell it by the foot. You can get it in 2 or more conductors. It is going to be a lot tougher than anythi...

Not enough details such as depth, material, lathe or mill, etc. Circular pocket may be what you want if milling.

Re: What do we have here?

I said it looked like servos because steppers (from that era anyway) usually don't have encoders and 2 wires coming out of them. But Centroid may have been way ahead of their time...Either way, there is an option for you to replace that control as long as the iron is good. I would value it for the i...

Re: What do we have here?

The owner has been pretty helpful and it comes with 12 kwik switch tool holders. He said it's nmtb30. Kwik Switch is not the same as NMTB 30. Bridgeport offered KwikSwitch 200 or Erickson's QuickChange 30 (other than the R8) on this quill diameter. The QC30 is far more common and is a slight modifi...
