Miguel G. and I collaborated to make a 3D printed case for my version 3(Acorn 171025) Centroid Acorn. This case is compatible with Acorn 171025 and later. It's made in fusion 360. I've uploaded to my thingiverse the .f3d, .step and .stl file so you can change and adapt it to fit your needs!

Yes, very nice! Too bad it will be virtually impossible to produce on your typical fdm printer.

Hi,
Don't pack the Acorn board in a too close case without proper cooling,
It will burn off !!

Well, your printer is better than mine. No discredit to Mary, but I wouldn't even attempt to print that...I am no expert but already know it will take a long time with tons of support necessary, and look really bad in the end.

I printed one of these cases in FDM and noticed a few little issues that I corrected for my build. I emailed Mary and I will upload my STL files on Thingiverse if anyone else wants to use them.
In FDM:
In SLS and painted:

Thanks for all the hard work putting the 3d models together!

Bill,
Did you ever upload your files to Thingiverse? I printed the base, but found that the standoffs are to low. How did the holes for releasing the catches work out?
I'd like to make it with a flat top so that I could do a color change for the logo.
Thanks,
Scott

Mary,
Ignore all the negative comments, I think you did a great job. As long as there is a little clearance in that case it should work perfect. You can touch y our Acorn after being on days and it is barely warm.
You made me put a 3D printer on the top of my toy list. ha ha
