servo with or without spindlebrake for c-axis?

I'm still unsure whether to post all questions regarding my build in my build thread or somewhere else, and if somewhere else, then where? xD

Whatever.. I'm moments away from buying a 1.5kw ac servo, and there is the option with a break for an additional ~120€

as i would love to use the spindle in position mode, like uwe (suntravel) has shown with his build, i'd love to know if a servo with a break is suitable for this application. I think uwe used a custom build magnetic clutch, so what are the difference, pros/cons?
