Spindle not switching on with 4th Axis

Post by Ashsrdtuning »

Please help

So ive just built a rotery 4th axis using another clearpath servo and all works well very happy with it.

My problem is i use fuson 360 for CAD/CAM and post with the centroid post Processor.

I went into the post code and changed the ( if false ) to ( if true ) to enabled the 4th A axis all working fine.

Run my 1st part and hit a massive problem.

When my spindle turns off for its 1st tool change it wont start back up. The relays no longer click To turn the VFD on.

Even if i shut down CNC12 and restart then turn off auto spindle and try and start it i get nothing.

Its like the micro controler has a fault.

If i shut down CNC 12 and power off my acorn bord and then start it back up the spindle will work again untill a tool change is needed and then stops and wont respond again on my program 😩

I run a 3axis program to check and its fine can start stop the spindle on tool changes and doesnt ever cause a problem.

Can anyone help out.

Im on CNC12 4.80 and its been 100% Reliable so dont wamt to upset my luck lol

Shoud i try upgrading to 5.08

What am i missing to have the spindle become Unresponsive.

Many thanks

Ash

You'll need to post a current report and the offending program before you'll get helpful advice. It's extremely hard diagnosing problems without any data

Will it run without M10 M11 ?
There is no output set to Clamp or Chuck.

Its a 3 jaw Manuel chuck on my 4th axis and turns very slow so not using any outputs from the acorn to do anything

Its a fuson 360 centroid post so must be using a mill turn post maybe ? I know i had to go in and disable the C axis and enable the A axis
