About Touch Screens
A touch screen is not required to run Centroid CNC software ( a mouse works just fine) but, a touch screen does work with Centroid CNC software. If you want to use a touch screen the best ones to use in a CNC environment are resistive touch screens.
Resistive Touch Screens are preferred for CNC control console use since they don't false trigger like capacitive touch screens with dust and dirt on them.
Resistive Touch Screens are harder to find as the home/office market for touch screens has gone to multipoint capacitive technology which is less than ideal for a dusty dirty machine shop.

I suggest ASUS VT207N 19.5" Monitor. You can google search it, but seems New Egg has a good price and occasionally, has reconditioned units.
They also have a smaller 15.6" Touchscreen, the VT168H, which is only a little less than its bigger brother. BUT if you need a smaller one for a smaller machine it might be the ticket.
Let's keep this thread going, so reply here. If you find hot deal for a nice touchscreen monitor post it so the rest of us can find out about it!
