Changing Axis Names to "X, Y, A, B"

Hi Forum,

We're using the Acorn controller to build a 4-axis filament winder. Most of these winding CAM suites post to X Y A B (two linear, two rotary) by default. Is there any way to configure the control to read "A" as the first rotary axis, as opposed to "Z"?

Thanks and regards,

- Austin

Here is the particular machine kinematics we need to accommodate with our build, in order to use these industry CAM tools:

Sorry to bump, really just wondering if this will be easier to do on the control side or in post.

AFIK You can only change axis label on the 4th axis, 3rd is Z but can be set to rotary

the Wizard has limitations on axis label but cnc12 does not.

inside cnc12, f1 setup, f3 config, f2 mach, f2 motor then edit the table.

then set parameters up to define the axis type

Ahh, that makes sense. We'll run the rest of our configuration in CNC12.

Thank you for the tip, we're on track now and this makes the post situation pretty simple.
